There is no doubt that Indian Cricketer, Virat Kohli is one of the greatest to have ever palyed the game of cricket. Howver, not everybody is a fan of Kohli’s as Virat himself found out in Cape Town, South Africa.

Virat Kohli’s exploits as a batsman and a leader during the 2018 South Africa tour have won him plenty of fans. After being 2-0 down in the Test series, Kohli led the team from the front in the third and final Test at Wanderers to seal a history 63-run victory. From then on, India’s winning juggernaut didn’t stop as they secured both the limited-overs series with utmost ease.

While the Men in Blue clinched the six-match one-day international series with a stunning margin of 5-1, they won the three-match ODI series 2-1. Virat was the highest run-getter in both Test and ODI series from the either side. The Indian captain had scored 286 runs at an average of 47.66 on some of the most difficult wickets in three Tests and then followed it up with 558 runs at an average of 186 in 6 ODIs.

However, Kohli had experienced an embarrassing moment during the otherwise successful trip when he went out for lunch with his teammates in Cape Town.

In an exclusive interview with ESPN, Virat recently revealed he was having lunch near the water outside Cape Town when one of the waiters shook hands with him and told him how much he appreciated his game.

The Indian captain felt grateful before another waiter approached him with his arm out. Kohli reached to shake his hand but the waiter picked up a dirty plate instead which left the 29-year-old embarrassed in front of his teammates.

“These guys went mad. I felt so embarrassed. He didn’t even look at my hand!” Kohli narrated the incident during his interview with ESPN.

Virat Kohli recently led Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2018. Although RCB didn’t perform to their potential in the cash-rich event, Virat enjoyed another sensational campaign with the willow. He scored 530 runs in 14 innings with 4 fifties and finished as the highest run-getter for his team.
